I know what grinding means, what hustling means, what struggling means, what doubting means. I’ve been through a lot of storms, hard working and waiting for the sun. Keep telling you this, especially during the hard days of struggling with no visible results : somebody, somewhere, is listening. Every move you make count, every track you drop can touch a new fan. Every line you write can put you in any listener’s top 5 alive emcees. Every beat your produce can make you a role model for upcoming youth on the boards. Somebody, somewhere is listening, and if you can’t see them, they hear you. Keep on. (This post has been inspired by the words of my man J’Rizzle, owner of DefinitionOfFresh . Best motivational words ever. Respect.) ***Thanks to Cool FD for sharing the encouragement I've shared with him***

I decided to open this « Respect The Deejays » interview. I decided it because of the sincere respect I have for the deejays. A lot of them from all over the world have been supporting me and my grind since day one, and i’ll give them respect back in these posts. I’m very honored to open it with the UK brother DJ Crank, hard working on the radio and mixtapes sides of this Hip Hop game. Crank it up! And of course, show some love to the man on his Twitter and on his website ! 01) Chose one record from your collection to introduce yourself, and let us know why ! Gotta be Dilated Peoples « The Platform ». I’m a massive Dilated fan and this track is the inspiration behind my show. Lines like « The Platform, takes respect to perfect the artform » really sum up my outlook on Hip-Hop. Shouts to Rakaa, EV & Babu, they were all real supportive of the show when it first launched. 02) I personnaly took the time to reach you and build th...

There is no real and no fake, there is only a seat we don’t work hard enought to take. There is no chances, there are only opportunities we haven’t been good enough to catch. There is no easy ways, but there is no obstacle high enough to make your better jump useless. There is no rush for greatness, but there is no time to wait before workin on this greatness. There is nobody who will tell you you’re right, until you bring the proof. Who’s the enemy ? The same person able to win. Me, you, us. [This post has been inspired by my brother M-Dot’s track « Finish »]

One of my friend told me one day that the best thing to do in order to create a relationship with somebody, is to ask questions. People can’t offer you a new job, a free beat, a free verse, but they obvisouly can’t refuse to help someone who is asking a smart question. Yeah you read right, the smarter the question, the higher the chance to build a helpful relationship. But to make it count, a question got to be a good question. How ? Chose your « target » : identify the influencers in your activity, and use social medias like Twitter to reach them easily.  Learn concrete things about your target : what are they working on ? What ideas do they defend ?  Identify on what and how you could add value in this upcoming relationship : if you want them to listen to you, be sure they will want you to be interesting !  Break the ice : your question must be opened to longer conversations, and must show that you are serious in your demand thanks to relevant information....
