Awkword is a 20-year NYC Hip Hop veteran who seamlessly blends 90s boombap and postmodern angst. Best known for his work with producer Harry Fraud , Awkword has toured the US with The Cool Kids , collaborated with Sean Price , Joell Ortiz and Jadakiss , and been featured by the likes of Complex , MTV , Hot 97 , The Source , XXL , Vibe and Village Voice . On September 17, 2014 , the Hip Hop world was stunned and heartbroken by the loss of one of their own, Earl Patrick McNease aka Praverb aka P the Wyse , known not only for his truth-telling rhymes but for his graciousness, honesty, kindness and humility. His death sent shockwaves across the industry, with Hip Hop heavyweights such as 9th Wonder , Diamond D , J. Live and Mello Music Group paying tribute to our fallen soldier.
