Cambridge, MA duo The Hairline Brothers ( HLB ) dropped the official video to new single “Step Back” . Lamping up in Ben’s Barber Shop (Everett, MA) and shot by Chow Films producer / emcee North$ide Dro and emcee The Supervisor link up with King Author for some rugged rap.  The track will appear on the forthcoming debut EP Restoration Process (to drop on 2/5).

“Sorry Not Sorry” is Joey Bada$$ ’s second release of January 2025, following “The Ruler’s Back” , which many perceived to be a diss track aimed at Kendrick Lamar as well as the West Coast—Joey specifically interpolated a bar from JAY-Z ’s June 1996 track “22 Two’s” .  Before Kendrick could respond, several of his peers fired back; including battle rapper Daylyt with “Hiyu” and TDE -affiliate Ray Vaughn with “Crashout Heritage” . This is ostensibly a response to the tracks aimed back at Joey by rappers from the Golden State.  As with his previous entry, Joey enlists production from Conductor Williams ; this time, however, Conductor is joined by Everett, Washington native Mario Luciano and the video is directed & edited by Waqas Ghani .

Seasoned Massachusetts emcee Abyss figuratively "calls in sick" with his latest single! "The Call Out" , a fun upbeat record about using sick days to do what you truly love - make music. Abyss showcases energetic, witty lyrics weaved through hard vintage drums and soulful chops produced by the very talented Kam , of HustleMan Beats .
