Extraterrestrial emcee Spaceman has dropped visuals for newest single “CRANKY" , produced by Manny McPlanes and directed by Timmy Price Film .

Defenders of the Hip-Hop Universe Silent Funk +1 take on “The Wackness Group” in a new video. “Say Less” is partly inspired by emcee Rhinoceros Funk’s hatred of that term.  In the animated video, Rhino, Silent and the third member of the group, DJ JS-1 use their hard-earned hip-hop skills to topple Microwave Cooks , DJ Dishpan hands and producer Lord HypeBeast .  "Say Less” appears on the forthcoming Silent Funk +1 LP " U Ain’t Special".

Beaming in from Strong Island, interstellar word-smith Spaceman is feeling “Cranky” .  Utilizing a melodic delivery over a minimal synth laden instrumental (Produced by Manny McPlanes ). This is the first new single from Spaceman since his massive “Social Skills” series of singles which dropped throughout last year.

A NYC true-school trio Silent Funk +1 return with a new video, an original track made solely to announce their forthcoming album, U Ain’t Special . The album will drop this July in both physical and digital formats. The album title is a direct sentiment of how the trio of Rhinoceros Funk (emcee), Silent Someone (producer) and DJ JS-1 feel about the current generation of operators iaacn the hip-hop space.

Buffalo everyman Gaine$ returns with new visuals for “Real 1” . An introspective and inspired dose of soulful hip-hop. Filmed partly on location at the Mint Cocktail Bar in his hometown, the video follows Gaine$ today as the businessman and the street operative yesterday. As he says “it’s inspired by the ideal of triumph. Getting your hands dirty but coming out clean on the other side”.  “Real 1” is taken from the newly released LP, Mr. Gaine$ (fully produced by NOM ).

Globetrotting emcee Kingdom Kome has dropped visuals for new track “Stay Gone” this morning. Shot by Kevin Ramos and edited by D. Sakolsky (for Gusto Gold Productions ).  “Stay Gone” appears on the newest Kingdom Kome LP "Mint Misprints" , which is on all streaming platforms. The album was fully produced by RUEN and features additional lyrical firepower from Ill Bill , SKAM2? , Daniel Son , D.V. Alias Khryst and Che Uno .

Buffalo wordsmith Gaine$ sonically flexes over new single “Big G’$” . The track is monolithically powered by a lush tapestry of funk keys and wobbly bass composed by producer NOM . Baltimore quartet GAWDS are offering "No Condolences" on their new single (with accompanying video). Darkly personal and raw, the track is perhaps the most emotional in the group’s extensive catalog. The track is bolstered by L3 ’s (singer/emcee) vocal melodies as well as additional bars from the group’s other two emcees Regulus and Pinpoint . "No Condolences" appears on the group’s recent album "The Care Package" .

Connecticut wordsmith Suave-Ski returns with an audio burner of high proportions. “Burnin & Learnin” is an all-star track, which includes a guest feature from Hieroglyphics rhyme-sniper Casual and boasts a co-production credit from Dead Perry & Apathy .

Emcee/Producer Psych Major returns with a raucous head-nodder of a single/video for the boom-bap purists.  “Kickin’ Flows” is available via all digital platforms and features scratch mastery from long-time ally, DJ Enyoutee .

Below System Records is proud to release “Feel It” an unearthed gem from Rashad And Confidence .  The track was originally recorded in 2011 as part of The Element Of Surprise LP sessions. Why it wasn’t part of the original album isn’t clear as “Feel It” is easily as strong as any of the fan favorites from that body of work.

Upstate beat-smith Kidd Called Quest returns with an interpolation of a modern classic. “Many Men” touches upon the theme and dark tones of the original but recasts 50 Cent with MAV (Da’ Cloth) on the mic.

Dios Negasi is up to no good under those “Street Lights” .   With a new animated video (by Matt Nye ) for his verse on the new single, The Reagan Era Records honcho does dirt on a Grand Theft Auto level. The full single appears on the newly released Black Violin 2 album (available on all digital platforms now) and also features guest verses from Dyverse and Skrillz Dior .

Kingdom Kome is giving out life lessons on new single “Letter To My Seed” . Produced by long-time collaborator RUEN , the track acts as a letter to Kingdom Kome ’s son divulging a lot of life-learned gems for his benefit. “Letter To My Seed” is the 3rd leak from the forthcoming Kingdom Kome x RUEN album Mint Misprints ( Walking With Enoch Music ) .

Rochester, NY duo Young Black And Gifted drop visuals for their newest single “Prime Time.” Directed by HipHopIzLyfe Beat-Smith Kidd Called Quest and lyricist Azariah get busy with more of that motivation music that they do so well. The duo said of the track “in these days of oversaturation and negativity you have to be your own motivator to keep grinding. Baltimore hip-hop collective GAWDS have dropped visuals for their newest single “Oh No” . Though a braggadocious, lyrical attack replete with cuts, the track and visual has an introspective element. Emcees Pinpoint , L3 and Regulus are literally split in two with their artist persona attacking their civilian identities. As Regulus explains “it reflects our normal life/work life selves and our rapper selves frustrated at how both interfere with our daily routines. A metaphor for the balance we struggle with daily” . “Oh No” is featured on GAWD ’s new LP, The Care Package (album available via all streaming services now).

The Devil’s Violinist returns! West Coast beat-boss / rhyme capo Dios Negasi finally drops the long-awaited LP, Black Violin 2 . Out now via streaming courtesy of Chamber Music Ent / Reagan Era Records this edition tops the grit factor and guest roster of the 2023 first edition. The project is named after legendary composer Niccolo Paginini (1782-1840) who was nicknamed “The Devil’s Violinist” for his supernatural ability on the instrument and to wearing all black. Reagan Era Records cohort Skrillz Dior makes multiple appearances on the project and Los Angeles homies also appear including Dyverse , Killa Kali , K-Borne and Chamber Music ’s Ominous also guest. However, the guest list on this project also taps a litany of mic legends including Ghostface Killah , Young Zee ( Da Outsidaz ), Conway The Machine , RJ Payne , Blu and Fredro Starr ( Onyx ).
