For some, life can be broken down into 3 basic food groups: Pussy, Money, Drugs. On "PMD" BlackLiq pays homage to that very mentality, which is a way of life that perverts into cool as the access that comes with success turns into excess.  DEJECT provides a haunting score for BlackLiq 's message, layering simple elements to support one heavy truth: It is all one big LIE.  THE LIE drops on Man Bites Dog Records on 11/17/2023 on Vinyl.

“The internet is fake, but my content is real" . These are the words which with BlackLiq starts off his new single, "The Culture" , from his new album fully produced by fellow Richmond, VA resident DEJECT aka Bando Mane , THE LIE .  The video made by King Z .  Pre-Order THE LIE here :: https://manbitesdogrecs.bandcamp.com/

"Choice Is A Chance" (Out Now!) is the second album on Strange Famous Records from the duo of emcee BlackLiq (Richmond, VA) and producer Mopes (Providence, RI). It’s another step forward in a journey that has no planned finish, just as its beginning was never conceived, but simply lived.  On their latest single and video "Therapy" , BlackLiq delves into his daily struggle of juggling depression and optimism, while attempting to stay connected to his art and sense of self, despite knowing he should seek professional help. His life is a contradiction and Mopes provides a soulful score that is as light and dark as the uncomfortable thoughts BlackLiq is sharing. For them this isn't music, this is self medication.  BLACKLIQ x MOPES ! http://BlackLiqXMopes.Bandcamp.com
