It’s that time again! A new webisode of the bi-weekly House Of Heron (presented by Gridlock Production House ) drops today. Helmed by the Peruvian Boom-Bap king DJ Heron this episode he welcomes emcee/battle legend Wrekonize ( Strange Music ) into the studio. Garnering a strong fanbase over the past few decades, Wreckonize is known for his intricate lyrical and genre bending style. He is also co-frontman of ¡Mayday! who have built a dedicated fanbase while fusing hip-hop, rock and Latin influences into their sound. As per every episode the House Of Heron begins with a blindfold record pull from DJ Heron ’s collection, after which the duo cook up a beat and lyrics on the spot. The House Of Heron opens its doors again for a new episode! Presented by Gridlock Production House the web series pairs the Peruvian Boom-Bap king DJ Heron with top Miami, Florida spitters. In each episode the guest does a blindfold record pull from Heron’s collection to cook up a beat for them to spit to on the spot. After a short break, The prolific DJ Heron returns with a new episode of his web-series House Of Heron! Presented by Gridlock Production House the twelve part series invites top Miami, Florida emcees into Heron’s studio to do a blindfold record pull from his collection which he then cooks an original beat from and the emcee spits to resulting in a new single.   “Like in the video, we take you on a ride mentally without you having to go anywhere physically. There are no samples in this song. It’s the same for the entire album. This is an introduction to that (our album). No artificial ingredients. Our brand of hip-hop is organic. The street is the ‘Calle’ and the Grupo is HNE.” DJ Exes (emcee) of Grupo HNE , the Miami based Spanglish boom-bap trio speaks on new single “Calle HNE” . HNE in the song title stands for the initials of group members DJ Heron (production), Nando (multi-instruments, vocals) and Exes and the track is now available on streaming platforms currently as well as a music video (Filmed and edited by Stephen Box Lo Gonzalez for GoldBox Film Studios ).

  Gridlock Production House in association with DJ Heron have released a new episode of the original web series House Of Heron . For the uninitiated each episode of the series welcomes a notable Miami spitter to DJ Heron ’s studio, where they draw several random records (while blindfolded) for DJ Heron to create an original beat on the spot and the emcee to record to.   DJ Heron aka The “Peruvian Boom-Bap King” has dropped the first episode of House Of Heron . Every bi-weekly episode of the YouTube series (Produced by Gridlock Production House ) will feature notable Miami spitters who visit Heron’s studio, draw random records while blindfolded which Heron then cooks up into a beat and the emcee writes and drops a verse.  The inaugural episode features King Tetrus , whose latest LP Peace & Blessings (2023) debuted at #2 on the Global iTunes Hip Hop Chart . The resulting single from the episode "No More Games" is also now available via DSP's.

  Grupo HNE have released a new video this morning combining two of their singles “Black Angels / Big Pictures” .  Directed by Box Lo this two-fer also features guest verse/appearances by fellow Miami artists Shottie (on “Black Angels” ) and Money Mogly (on “Big Pictures” ). Bringing a Spanglish element to their boom-bap Grupo HNE (pronounced Henny ) features DJ Exes as emcee as well as producer DJ Heron and multi-instrumentalist Nando (percussion, keyboards, vocals).

  Peruvian Boom Bap King DJ Heron returns with another fire remix (and video treatment, directed and edited by Box-Lo ) of a classic Thirstin Howl The 3rd joint. “Beautiful People” (original version released in 2015) features the Polorican on the same track as The Beatnuts and Tash ( Alkaholiks ) over a hard instrumental backdrop.  The “Beautiful People” remix is off the recently released Thirstin On Heron LP, available now (in limited USB edition ) and streaming exclusively via Spotify and www.DJHeron.com . Allowed full access to the full Skillionaire ’s musical vault, DJ Heron remixed many of Thirstin’s classic tracks from the 90’s on. This includes tracks featuring Unique London , Sadat X , Master Fuol and more.

  Spanglish Boom-Bap triumvirate Grupo HNE (pronounced Henny ) have dropped new visuals for recent single “The Palmetto” . Sub-titled “A musical ode to Miami’s traffic nightmare,” The Palmetto refers to State Route 826 , also known as The Palmetto Expressway . DJ Exes says of the track “was written from the perspective of the average Miamian on their way home after a 40-hour work week right into permanent gridlock and road chaos. It’s enough to drive any sane man mad!”   Directed by MrBeleaf and co-directed by Cuban emcee, Orion (who also appears on the track) the breezy easy jazz and uplifting instrumental contrasts with the bars of frustration and the video’s homage to 90’s classic cinema gem, Falling Down .

  The Skillionaire returns! Thirstin Howl The 3rd has released a new animated video “A General (DJ Heron Remix)” featuring animation by Dios Cartoons and frequent collaborator Big Boo with verse and on the hook. The track is another potent display of lyrical prowess from the Lo-Life General and the original version appeared on the Survival Of The Skillest LP ( 2015 ). However, this version was majestically remixed by DJ Heron and is the first leak from the forthcoming Thirstin On Heron album (to drop on Feb 20th ).
