After three albums and stand alone singles the Cali emcee/ producer duo Grand Opus is back with their latest offering in the form of a throwback to when there was a "Side A" and a "Side B" to a cassette or vinyl single. On this two track release they give you the chill and soulful boom bap of "All G" that speaks to coming up as an artist and life's trials, and then the lyrical whirlwind of "Joc the Dawn", where producer Centric lays an energized, hard hitting, futuristic back drop for Joc Scholar to let loose on, proclaiming himself as the "Dawn" (light) as opposed to the overused "Don" that many rappers have proclaimed to be. One thing is for sure and its that Grand Opus never misses a step in solidifying their own unique brand of hip hop.
