“type shit” is the fifth EP by Mick Jenkins. The EP was conceived through Mick searching for and rapping over “type beat” instrumentals from YouTube. Production is handled by Docent, Jimmy Q, and Stoic.

The significance of this project also lies in the platform on which it was released, with Mick aiming to bring power and ownership back to artists and fans by avoiding the usual streaming sites.
