Homemade is about growing up. Actually, it’s about growing up slowly and that being perfectly okay. It’s taken me time to realize – and not just realizing it mentally, but understanding it deep in my bones – that growth is a lifelong process. I am 28 years old now, but in a lot of ways I still feel like that kid on the EP cover. If one thing is taken away from these songs, let it be that your particular process of becoming who you are is completely and utterly yours. Nobody else’s.
