The 40 Akerz Project showcases Nappy's growth and evolution as artist as they have never sounded more comfortable on wax.  Also SMKA highlights their very own 808 Blake 's ability to provide melodic landscapes for the group to provide honest yet fun lyrics. In this record we find the southern legends going round for round over a head thumping melodic beat provided by SMKA 's 808 Blake . Nappy Roots releases the 2nd record "40 Intro" (prod by SMKA ) from their "Something's Gotta Give" Campaign. "40 Intro" was one of the first collaborations the Country Boys and SMKA worked on. "Something's Gotta Give" is a campaign where Nappy Roots will be releasing new music weekly throughout the month of November . Nappy Roots launches their new "Somthings Gotta Give Capaign" by releasing a new leak every week thorughout the month of November in anticiaption of their new album the "The 40 Akerz Project" (produced entirely by SMKA ). "Hazy" is the first leak which finds Nappy Roots joyfully "lost" throughout their many travels. Jarren is one of the 12 up-and-coming MCs to make the 2014 cover of XXL , dubbed "The Dirty Dozen." We have worked with Jarren since 2011 and couldn't be more proud of the homie. In 2013, Jarren Benton 's debut Funk Volume release, My Grandmas Basement , landed at #4 on iTunes HipHop/Rap chart and Billboards #4 Heatseekers list. He is currently working on his second Funk Volume album, which will drop later this year!

A3C partnered with Revolt TV and Atlanta production crew, SMKA , to book the legendary Stankonia Studios during 2013 A3C Festival and produce an original mixtape, The Hang Out: A3C Edition . For 12 hours a day ( Thursday, Oct 3rd through Saturday, Oct 5th ) nearly 30 of the most talented up-and-coming artists at the 2013 A3C Festival came through Stankonia to record 15 original tracks produced by 808 Blake & Kato of SMKA , Prolyfic , DJ Burn One & Kamal of RadioActiveKids .
