DEFINITION OF FRESH

Back in 2017, Boogieman Dela and Rolled Golled made the 2nd installment of his “Broken Watch” series, a 4-part collection of EP’s, each produced by a different producer. The 5-song EP they came up with a few months later, subtitled “Future Currents” , was so good, both production-wise & vocally, Rolled Gold naturally began to re-imagine some of the songs in a different context, production-wise.  So after experimenting with one or two remixes he decided to make a whole tape, somewhat inspired by Madlib and  Knxwledge remixing albums they also originally produced, and also as a challenge to see if he could even do the originals justice.  Stream the EP below!!!  Boogieman Dela - Future Currents (The Rolled Gold Remixes) by Rolled Gold & Boogieman Dela

Rolled Gold sends “The Field” , the first single release from the upcoming, yet still untitled EP. It’s essentially a bluesy “trap” song about Black American history, which is just as catchy and club-worthy as it is a powerful, deep-rooted, political message.  Jeide Eighttrack & Kaang Groovin , together forming the duo No Headliner , each deliver intensely poetic verses as well as sharing a “call & response” style hook, while Rolled Gold ’s 808-heavy drums and bass lock in with his live congas and his friend Lorena ’s painfully soulful vocal loop.  Stream & Download below!!! "The Speakeasy" is the second single from Rolled Gold 's debut compilation, "Salty" .  It features Philadelphia MC's Ai-Que & The Bul Bey , as well as the Bronx's own Visto . "Downtown" is the final song off Visto 's "Elevator Music 1990:14" , released at the beginning of this year. As he was raised in the Bronx and now lives in Philly, the video is based in both, and provides a majestic backdrop for his motivational lyricism. "Paisley On The Drapes" , featuring Philly MC's Uncle Crimson & Rhetoric Wallace is the first single from Rolled Gold 's "Salty" compilation.
