DEFINITION OF FRESH

The setting is Burke, Virginia in the mid 90s. Kurious and MF DOOM are in town and are hanging out at the basement studio of the Lower Life Forms . Smoke is in the air. Libations are flowing. Ping pong matches ensue. Wise throws on a beat. DOOM jumps in the booth and begins to beatbox. Kurious kicks a freestyle. This is a celebration of friendship and history revealed.  "DOOM on the Beatbox" is the second single from the Lower Life Forms album, "A Journey Through the Anthropocene" .  Available October 30, 2025 (a Team Demo Production )

The MF DOOM estate shares the release  “ Madvillainy Demos ”  the very first demo sequence of the album, the infamous  “ Madvillainy ”   demo that “leaked into cyberspace” , while the album was still in progress, as DOOM alludes to in the lyrics of “Rhinestone Cowboy” . Each of these tracks contained early vocal cuts by DOOM , all recorded and (quickly) mixed in Los Angeles, CA at Madlib ’s Bomb Shelter Studio . The demo was officially released on cassette in 2008 as part of the Madvillainy 2 box-set, before being released individually in 2013 as part of a 24-hour sale during Cassette Store Day. The track titles were written by Madlib .

In celebration of the album’s 20th anniversary , MM..FOOD has been repackaged with all new artwork by Sam Rodriguez ! Originally released in 2004, MF DOOM 's MM..FOOD is hailed as a classic hip-hop album full of inventive production, remarkable wordplay, and unique themes. Celebrated for its seamless blend of humor, wit, and social commentary, the album ushers listeners into a bizarre world of food-related metaphors, painting a bitterly comedic portrait of a life tainted by vice, violence, and jealousy.
